Hello, I'm Charlotte and I live in rural southwest Scotland where home, countryside and the ever changing landscape are woven into everyday life.
I've always been drawn to things with a story, old houses, well loved furniture, inherited treasures, time worn gardens and the rituals that make a house feel like home.
This little corner of the internet is where I share that world, life in our Victorian home, gardening, countryside, walks with my two beautiful Cocker Spaniels, cooking and baking, occasional foraging, interiors, personal style and the simple pleasures that so often turn out to be the most memorable.
Often not a perfectly curated life, but one filled with the things I genuinely love and treasure.

A HOME WITH A STORY
Our Victorian home is at the heart of much of what I share. It's a home we continue to shape rather than simply decorate, mixing antiques with inherited pieces, mid century with modern and things collected just because we love them.
Original deeds, family artwork, old photographs and treasured objects sit happily alongside muddy boots, dog leads, well read books and whatever I've brought in from the garden.
For me, a beautiful home isn't about perfection, it's about warmth, character and creating somewhere that feels unmistakably yours.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
I'm happiest somewhere between home and countryside, usually with a pair of spaniels somewhere nearby! But I find my ultimate peace deep within our local forests.
I live in our beautiful 1888 Victorian home with my husband and our two children (although not children anymore!). We bought our home in 2017 and could see the potential straight away. It took us a year of renovations to get to the basics where we could move in and have treasured our home every day since as it grew with us.
I love old houses, cottage style gardens, antique shops, beautifully made clothes and old books. I have a slight obsession with my family history and preserving inherited treasures. Ultimately, my goal is in finding ways to bring a little ceremony and romance to otherwise ordinary days.
I'm a great believer that our homes and personal style should become more individual as we mature, not less.
Here I have a small place to share all of these things, what I'm discovering, making, growing, wearing, restoring and occasionally getting completely wrong along the way!
